Gartenfestival part II

The day welcomed us with sunshine, then a very fresh breeze joined us and it was stormy from time to time...
Later the sun decided to lighten up the Gartenfestival and brightened up our colorful goodies...
Today we also had very nice ladies visiting us, who fell in love with our work immediately...
...and who were looking for unique ways to accessorize themselves or their homes...
Here you can see the beautiful colors, the shades of green, what a harmony...
Suddenly we had a summer rain, that started within seconds and surprised us...
Some visitors who knew us from last year stopped by to get another henna painting...
These Persian cookies filled with a delicious fruity paste is flavored with cardamom, I love their ornaments...You can also find them at the Gartenfestival...
Okay I think everyone knows, that I am soap addicted...but....these gorgeous and colorful goodies are British toffees called fudge. As Great Britain is the partner country for the Gartenfestival, there are many British tents with specialties...
Tomorrow is the last day, so there is more to come...

Gartenfestival Herrenhausen

The royal gardens of Herrenhausen invite visitors every year. I joined this big and very special event together with Petra for the first time in 2008.
I did not have much expectations for this time, but I have to admit that I was totally surprised today. Many customers who had seen us last year, stopped by to say hello or to buy something new. We got many, many compliments concerning our work, which means very much to us.
Another big surprise came from Holly, who wrote about this event and her desire to join us, thank you honey :) I would like to welcome everyone who came by from Hausmaus, very nice to have you here.
We took many pictures for her and for all of you to give you a better impression.
The Gartenfestival lasts two more days, so more impressions are on the way...

Duo-colored magic

From time to time I feel the need to try a new combination. When I ordered the duo-colored Czech beads I was not sure how I would combine them. Then I thought It would be quite interesting to use crystals in the same color to achieve an eye-catching effect.
At the end I am very happy about this result and I like this necklace very much. Look how bright the colors are in a very magical way. This is a piece of jewellery that one can always enjoy accessorizing with, because it will never look boring.

Beadoholic

I recently shared my handmade Czech beads with you and now you can see them in the same beautiful harmony again. Mixed with crystals and gemstones like jade, every necklace got its own character. I love to play with beads and different materials, so you can title me a beadoholic. The necklaces you can see above fit to my Mediterranean series. One can combine them with linen pants or even a pair of blue jeans. In every case the colors are fresh and make me dream of a long walk on the beach...

A breeze of home...

***
When my friend Petra came back from Istanbul, which is my hometown, she brought me a handmade pistachio soap. And this one is from the Grand Bazaar, where I usually spend very, very much time. See the logo? It´s the famous logo of Abdulla, a great shop to buy soaps, towels, hamam bowls and other beautiful findings. As I am homesick these days, this little gift was like a breeze of home to me...

New arrivals

Today I received a box filled with beautiful handmade Czech beads. Here you can see some of them. I will share the other ones later, because I like the harmony of the colors. Even though their shape is not the same, those beads match perfectly to each other.
I am still working on two big collections and I was searching for the perfect material. Finally I found those gorgeous beads, that I will use for necklaces, bracelets and chandeliers. I have so many projects to do and my head is so full of ideas, that I honestly think my days are too short.
